鄱阳湖是中国第一大淡水湖,同时也是国际重要湿地,夏季高水似湖,冬季低水似河,具有独特的水位波动和水面变化过程,在涵养水源、调蓄水量、维持生物多样性等方面发挥着重要作用。受流域“五河”来水及长江顶托作用的复合影响,不同时期鄱阳湖的水域分布差异显著,尤其是近十年来干旱频发,湖泊水域的时空分布更趋复杂。因此,准确地认识和全面地把握鄱阳湖的复杂水文节律,是当前进行湖泊管理与实践的重要科学前提。
