中国科学院国家天文台FAST球状星团脉冲星巡天揭示球状星团脉冲星新规律(图)

球状星团聚集了大量特殊类型脉冲星,包括毫秒脉冲星、脉冲双星、双中子星等。这些脉冲星为研究脉冲星演化规律、分析特殊类型脉冲星形成和演化路径、脉冲星和周围星际介质的相互作用等提供了难得的机会。500米口径球面射电望远镜(FAST)自调试开始即开展球状星团脉冲星巡天工作,至今已发现56颗脉冲星,将FAST天区内球状星团脉冲星数量增加约两倍。
